Dialectical Parenting Course
Open to ANY parents or caregivers of teens and young adults. Typically delivered in 90-minute group sessions across a 6-week program (Mondays 5pm - 6:30pm). Alternatively, the program may be completed in 45-minute one-on-one sessions at parent request.
Participants will learn the skills needed to:
Identify behaviors that are typical versus cause for concern
Understand the factors that prompt and maintain dysregulation
Communicate with their children in a way that fosters reduced emotional intensity, increases communication, and reduces conflict in the relationship
Learn to apply strategies designed to increase desired behaviors and reduce undesired behaviors
Improve the quality of relationship with their children
